Terms of service
These terms apply when you buy a licence for Stereosonic MIX from us and when you use stereosoniclabs.com. By buying a licence, you accept them.
Who we are
Stereosonic Labs is a brand of Fjellvarden AS, org. no. 936 935 478, Smuget 1, 1383 Asker, Norway. In these terms, ‘we’ and ‘us’ mean Fjellvarden AS. You can reach us at hello@stereosoniclabs.com.
These terms and the licence agreement
These terms cover buying a licence. The licence agreement covers how you may use MIX, and you accept it when you install the app. Where the two differ on how you may use MIX, the licence agreement applies.
What you buy
Stereosonic MIX is free to download, and everyone gets the desk we call Studio C. A licence opens Studio B. The guide shows what Studio B adds.
A licence is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It is for one person, who may use MIX on the Macs they own or control.
Each licence is for one version of MIX, counted in whole numbers: MIX 1, MIX 2, and so on. A licence bought under these terms is for MIX 1. It covers the beta and every MIX 1 update, such as 1.1 or 1.8, at no extra cost.
MIX 1 goes on working with your key after later versions come out. A later version, such as MIX 2, is a new purchase. If you own a licence for an earlier version, you can buy it at an upgrade price.
MIX runs on Macs with Apple Silicon, on macOS 13 or later. We test it on macOS 26 and 27. It is in beta, so it changes from version to version, and some things may not work yet. Try the free version on your own Mac before you buy.
Price and payment
You see the price at checkout, in your local currency where possible. The price includes any sales tax or VAT.
Your purchase is sold through Link, the Stripe payment service. Link is the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt. Link’s terms apply to the payment. The charge shows up on your statement as LINK.COM* STEREOSONIC.
We are responsible for MIX itself: the software, your licence, and support.
Delivery
You get your licence key as soon as the payment goes through, on screen and by email. The email also has your licence file, for a Mac without internet. Add the key in MIX under Settings to open Studio B. If you lose your key, ask for a new one and we’ll send it to the email address you bought with. The new key replaces the old one.
Refunds
If MIX isn’t right for you, you get a full refund within 14 days of buying it. You don’t need to give a reason. Write to us, or ask Link support. When a purchase is refunded, we cancel the licence. The key stops working, and you may no longer use Studio B.
Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you keep the rights that the law of the country you live in gives you. Nothing in these terms takes them away. That also applies after the 14 days, for example if MIX doesn’t work as described.
Liability
The licence agreement sets out our warranty and liability for MIX. For the website, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using it, to the extent the law allows. The site links to other websites, such as Link. We are not responsible for what they contain.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what personal data we handle and why.
Governing law
Norwegian law governs these terms, and the Norwegian courts handle any dispute. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a case where you live. If we can’t solve a complaint together, consumers in Norway can ask Forbrukerrådet, the Norwegian Consumer Council, for help.
Changes
We may update these terms. A purchase is covered by the terms that applied on the day you made it. Last updated: 25 September 2026.
